چکیده

nflammation and hemostasis are coupled via common ctivation pathways and feedback regulation systems. uring inflammation, the hemostatic balance may be isturbed, resulting in the increased production of prooagulant factors and in the down-regulation of anticogulant mechanisms. Thus, thrombosis promotes inflamation, which in turn stimulates a prothrombotic endency. The crosstalk between inflammation and heostasis is complex and involves enzymatic reactions, cell eceptor-mediated signaling, heterotypic cell interacions, endothelial inflammation, and the production of ell-derived microparticles, which are released into the irculation. These microparticles trigger additional celluar interactions, but their pathophysiologic effect on emostasis remains to be elucidated.

Low plasma level of vitamin D is linked to the increased risk of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and peripheral vascular diseases. Vitamin D deficiency is a worldwide problem that involves Iranian population. To the best of our knowledge, this was the first investigation on venous thromboembolism (VTE) subjects that assessed the correlation of vitamin D leve...

The relationship between inflammation and venous thrombosis. A systematic review of clinical studies.

During the past decade, the role of inflammation in the pathophysiology of arterial thrombosis has been elucidated. However, comparatively little is known about the relationship between inflammation and venous thrombosis. The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review of clinical studies that have examined the association between inflammation and venous thrombosis, specifically: (1) t...
